you are my blue – i am your red

This exhibit and performance was held at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon, New York from November to December 2015. Bibiana invited Poet Gold,  Mimi Czajka Graminski and Sarah Stern in a unique convergence of two poets and two visual artists to collaborate to combine the poet’s words with visual expression in mono-colors. The project started when Bibiana developed a series of artistic nature photographs appropriately titled “Blue” as the images are literally blue. When her Poughkeepsie, New York, based friend, Poet Gold, saw the images, she was moved to write words to the blue photos. The two artists combined their rich imaginations to create a unique presentation of images accompanied with poems to express Poet Gold’s resonance with the series. Later, Bibiana invited her friend and frequent collaborator, Mimi Czajka Graminski, to partner in the project. Mimi accepted and created a parallel series in red.  In turn, she also invited a renowned poet project partner, Sarah Stern. These two pairs of artists and poets are many things: friends, women, collaborators – New Yorkers– together they delivered a passionate, eloquent artistic expression as unique and diverse as the artists themselves.
